About the author.
Bola Akinlabi is a teacher, visionary leader and mentor who is passionate about helping people discover their God-given identity, embrace their purpose and live lives of lasting impact. She is the Global Co-Lead Pastor of The Elevation Church, where she provides strategic leadership and helps to shape the church’s vision and spiritual growth.
Bola is the visionary behind Jewels, The Elevation Church’s women’s ministry, and is the convener of the annual Made for More Conference, as well as the Women Who Build movement, empowering women to walk confidently in identity, embrace their calling, and pursue the extraordinary lives they were created to live.
Before dedicating herself fully to ministry, Bola spent years in treasury and financial management, which gave her a gift for structure, order and stewardship. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, an MBA from the University of Lagos (Unilag), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Strategy from the University of Oxford. She is also a Certified John Maxwell Leadership Trainer, recognised for her passion for developing leaders.
As a wife and mother who has built across the workplace, the church and the home, she writes Women Who Build from lived experience, with honesty, warmth and conviction. She is the loving wife of Pastor Godman Akinlabi and the proud mother of two wonderful daughters.
